Welcome to Mamakaos Productions
MamaKaos Productions started in 2008, to promote a concert by the excellent guitarist Gordon Giltrap at Rosslyn Chapel. On the night, Gordon was supported by our own Andrea ferch Taliesin. Now MamaKaos Productions is venturing into independant music. The first release will be Andrea's long awaited album "Turning the Wheel". The style of the music on this album entirely her own, but if we had to put a handle on it, I suppose that it would be Nu-Folk. Using more years of experience than she cares to think about, Andrea has produced a rich and varied album, featuring songs, ballads, chants, rounds, canons and instrumentals. The basis of the work is the "Wheel of the Year", the eight rituals of the Pagan world. Andrea herself is an Ovate in the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids, the largest organisation of it's type in the world. She is a multi-instrumentalist, and has written and recorded all the tracks on the album, with the exception of "Berry Merry" which she co-wrote with her fellow Ovate Rhy Epona-Oolwak.
The album was recorded at The Grove Studio, Scotland between December 2010 and January 2011

Who is Andrea ferch Taliesin?
Andrea, (whose surname in Welsh, means "daughter of Taliesin) is an Ovate of the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druid (OBOD). She is a practising Druid, and a Bard. Alongside her music, she is a prizewinning poet and author. She ia registered with the Pagan Federation, Scotland as a non-legal Celebrant. She is also a "midwife for the dying". If you would like her help in either of these areas, please contact her via this site. She lives in a small yet magical village, just South of Edinburgh, with her partner of 20years, a dog and three chickens!. In the past she has campaigned vigorously for transgender rights (successfully).

Plans are in place to release the whole of Andrea's back catalogue, starting with "The Ribbon of TIme (music for Rosslyn Chapel) this will be digitally remastered and will be available throught this site
